Kakolat is a waterfall located on Kakolat hills, 33 km away from the Nawada district in Bihar. Apart from nature’s beauty, Kakolat also has religious importance. It is said that one who bathes in this waterfall is never born in the form of a snake. According to a Legend, a treta Yug king was cursed to be a python and live in the waterfalls. When Pandavas visited this place during their exile, the king got rid of his curse. A large festival is organised at Kakolat during Basaikhi and is a popular picnic spot among the locals.
