Bihar has given birth to many great leaders who not only participated in the freedom struggle of India but also became the leaders of Independent India. Mahatma Gandhi sowed the seeds of Satyagraha in Champaran, Bihar which later became an important tool in the freedom struggle. Dr Rajendra prasad, the first president of India was born in Zeradei in the Siwan district of Bihar. The museum in patna commemorates his contributions and walk us through his life history. Shaheed Smarak Park or the martyr’s memorial reminds us of the sacrifice of the seven students during Quit India movement to host the national flag on the Secreatariat building and is worth visiting.
